welcome to my blog! this blog has been a long time in the making and i am excited to finally be able to share it with you. 

for my inaugural post, i wanted to look forward to spring. as you can see in most stores, as of this month, and most magazines (gq, details, etc.), spring is here - at least in the fashion and retail industry. with spring in mind, i wanted to look at a trend (or two) that i have been resistant to try until now - white denim and camo!

i have always been a follower of rules, so the whole 'don't wear white after labor day, or before memorial day' rule always stuck in my mind. i considered those who broke that rule to be either extremely bold, or out of their minds. having been in the fashion retail world for the past few years, i have seen this rule being slowly chipped away. while i am not rushing out to wear my white jeans to work tomorrow (i am saving them for a february debut), i am comfortable with the idea of wearing white in the spring. it is no longer just a summer / early fall staple. 

according to designer reed krakoff, 'white is as easy as black, now that people are wearing it year-round.' michael kors, even, is quoted in this month's gq magazine saying, 'guys wear white on top and black on the bottom...try a black jacket and white jeans - suddenly you're sexy and dangerous.' actor garret hedlund is featured in the february spring issue of details magazine wearing white denim. as you can see, white denim is here, and it's here to stay. below i will show you two ways to wear white denim - and throw in a little camo action, while i'm at it (more on that trend later).
