#fashion | welcome to 2016

it seems that every time i come back to this blog, i am writing a post apologizing for how long it has been since i have written. and here i am starting that same kind of post once again. as i look back over the past year and a half since i visited this platform, i see all of the changes that have happened in my life - personally and stylistically. i have been in atlanta for almost a year now. that was never even a plan of mine. i have learned that life has a tendency of surprising us in unexpected ways. so as i sit here with my itunes shuffling from ryan adams to carrie underwood to adele to brooks and dunn (eclectic, right?), i am looking forward to what this year is going to bring. 

if you follow me on instagram (@rich_houser), you have seen me experimenting with much trendier, streetwear inspired styles lately. for this post, to start off the year, i wanted to go back to basics - the foundation of what will always be my core style. layers and prints, and of course denim. i have been learning and refining which brands i love and how to mix those pieces together to create a style that is uniquely my own. i wouldn't say i am completely there yet, but i am on my way.
