did you miss me? || an update. of sorts.

hey y'all.

first let me apologize for the unintentional (2 year! - yikes!) break in between posts. i aim to do better in the future. rather than recap the last two years, let's just have a quick check in. i currently find myself back in atlanta, in the past month i walked away from what i thought would be the last step in my retail career, i'm thirty (how?!), and i'm learning that my view and opinion of myself truly matters more than anyone else's. so, in short: i grew up a lot - even though there are always things to work on. 

my mom shared a quote with me from martin luther king jr. recently - "you don't have to see the whole staircase. just take the first step." that is the perfect summation of where i currently am in life. i have a lot of free time these days and one of the things i want to focus on is finding myself in the blogging community again. this blog has never gone viral; i've never been 'insta-famous.' but, back in the day i did see some good traffic here, so i thought i'd give it another shot. i don't know that i will just focus on #ootd's or lifestyle or what. but hopefully this will serve as a mutually beneficial outlet. 

aside from my return to blogging, i've also been very focused on spending time with my family - none of whom live in atlanta. i will attach some casual fashion inspiration at the end of this post for you. these shots were taken by my sister (insta: @photography.my_other_love) in front royal, va, a couple weekends ago, while visiting our mom and stepdad.
